The cycle of grief moves between past and present. It never stops or ends.“This is It” explores grief, liminality and transition.

Presumptions and stereotypes adhere to narratives of childhood adoption. A specific otherness is felt when adjacent to the spaces of people of color, men, women, and whiteness, when one's perception of self is separated from its physical reflection. "PROXIMITY" was born out of an investigation of identity, racial authenticity, and the determining role others play in our sense of self from the vantage point of an adopted child.
